En el transcurso de la historia de la fotografía siempre ha habido un desarrollo tecnológico para simplificar su técnica y hacerla mas sencilla, desde las tomas de captación de luz, con sus compuestos químicos y su fijación a soportes físicos, a los modernos sensores digitales, desde las tomas de largas exposiciones a los disparos en ráfagas, desde lo analógico a lo digital.
Siempre se ha hablado de democratización de la fotografía, desde la creación de la película de kodak a la invención del ccd, los fotograf@s nos hemos basado en un oficio artesano de control de la luz mediante los diferentes mecanismos que se han ido incorporando a las cámaras fotográficas. Como oficio siempre se nos ha confiado por el resto de la sociedad para congelar sus recuerdos o comercializar la imagen de sus negocios. Por nuestra parte siempre hemos explorado el lenguaje fotográfico para su desarrollo y lograr la mayor expresividad a través de la imagen. En todo este transcurrir la fotografía como arte siempre ha chocado con la problemática de la copia y su difusión, mucho mas que nunca con la llegada de internet y las redes sociales.
En la actualidad la masificación de imágenes es apabullante dado a que el uso de los smartphones y la incorporación de cámaras fotográficas en ellos nos han inundado de potenciales fotograf@s en todo el mundo.

]In the course of the history of photography there has always been a technological development to simplify its technique and make it more simple, from the capturing of light, with its chemical compounds and its fixation to physical supports, to modern digital sensors, from the shots of long exposures to the shots in bursts, from the analog to the digital.
We have always talked about the democratization of photography, from the creation of the kodak film to the invention of the ccd, the photography we have based on an artisan craft of light control through the different mechanisms that have been incorporated into the cameras. Nowadays, the mass of images is overwhelming given that the use of smartphones and the incorporation of cameras in them have flooded us with potential photography all over the world.]
Como fotógrafo en estos tiempos el reto es crear imágenes para toda la sociedad con las herramientas propias de la misma. Desarrollar conceptos de base con la cámara de los smartphones, para entablar un dialogo cercano y actual con lo que todo el mundo puede comprender.
Un compromiso de creación de imágenes como cualquier individuo y hacer fotografía para toda la sociedad. Conformar un diálogo fotográfico lo mas cercano y actual con lo que todo el mundo se puede identificar, usando las herramientas mas comunes los teléfonos móviles.
El Verso Libre nace en 2012 con el afán de contar historias con las imágenes tomadas con la cámara del teléfono móvil.
Es la investigación y la búsqueda de como cualquier persona con la galería de fotos de su smartphone puede narrar una historia con imágenes e introducirse en el lenguaje fotográfico aprovechando las nuevas capacidades.

The Verso Libre was born in 2012 with the desire to tell stories with the images taken with the camera of the mobile phone.
It is the investigation and the search of how any person with the photo gallery of their smartphone can tell a story with images and introduce themselves in the photographic language taking advantage of the new capabilities.
